Alex is a web developer and technical executive, with over 8 years of experience in the industry. Having started his career with a job as a software engineer for Hutchinson Telecom in Hong Kong, he now has a host of start-up Websites in his portfolio and is steadily carving out his own corner of the Internet.

Even though Alex develops Websites that are slick and professional, he understands that a site’s success isn’t based solely on its aesthetic. Rather, it is pinned on an effective, accelerated online marketing campaign. Fortunately, he has a proven track record of driving hundreds of thousands of unique users across a number of Websites – and his own sites are testament to getting these results. As any Webmaster will agree, the Internet is a numbers game – and he knows the tips, tricks and technologies to hit those all-important targets.

Not only does Alex know how to direct traffic to a Website, but he also understands the importance of different types of traffic and their varying sources – essential in generating the niche traffic required by targeted Websites. After all, what is the point in directing the wrong demographic to a Website where it will not consume? As they say, you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink.

Part of Alex’s ability to generate vast amounts of traffic to a Website in a short space of time is his understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and what role social networking Websites such as Twitter, Facebook and MySpace play in increasing a Website’s ranking. What were once considered as trivial Websites have now become the key to viral marketing – and while others are busily updating their statuses on them, he is using them to leverage free unique users.

Alex is also competent with ad serving technologies – both with the terminology, and in dealing with affiliates to develop marketing campaigns from the resources available by both parties. And it’s not only established technologies such as PHP, MYSQL, JSP, JAVASCRIPT, AJAX, XHTML/CSS, JS, Link Building, Server Support, LINXU and XP/VISTA that he is comfortable with, either; he also has extensive experience in developing new technologies and systems that can be applied across platforms.

In addition to the technical aspects of running a Website, Alex is experienced with the more practical side of things such as billing and banking. Having worked for larger companies setting up offshore banking networks and developing easy billing solutions, he is familiar with international banking laws and transferring money across borders without hassle. As well as working with billing platforms such as PayPal and PayVision (amongst others), he has also worked with a number of the world’s biggest banks, meaning he understands online billing handlings and the Internet standards for cost and pricing.

In an industry that is as fast moving as the Internet, Alex makes it his mission to keep abreast of the latest technological and developmental techniques. He doesn’t just rely on research, either, but is continually implementing his findings to see what is effective and what is not. That way, he can be sure that he is always armed with the latest, most effective online marketing resources available.
